About the Presenter
Dr. François Le Doze is a neurologist, psychotherapist, and internationally recognized trainer with over three decades of experience integrating medical and psychological approaches to healing. Based in France, he spent much of his career practicing neurology in a hospital setting, where he also offered psychotherapy to patients with complex medical and emotional conditions.
His clinical work led him to train extensively in Internal Family Systems (IFS), eventually becoming a Lead Trainer with the Center for Self Leadership (now named IFS Institute). While working with clients affected by trauma, dissociation, and attachment injuries, Dr. Le Doze began to see the need for a more relational and neurobiologically informed approach. This insight led him to develop Relational Intelligence® (Intelligence Relationnelle®)—an integrative model grounded in IFS, Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, and somatic clinical practice.
Dr. Le Doze is known for his compassionate presence, depth of clinical wisdom, and ability to bridge complex theories with practical therapeutic application. He teaches internationally and continues to develop trainings for practitioners seeking deeper integrative trauma work.
Workshop Description
Join neurologist, psychotherapist, and former IFS Lead Trainer Dr. François Le Doze for a dynamic introduction to Relational Intelligence® (Intelligence Relationnelle®)—a groundbreaking model of psychotherapy that weaves together Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, and Attachment Theory, grounded in neuroscience and somatic understanding of trauma and relational healing.
Dr. Le Doze first encountered the IFS model while practicing psychotherapy as part of his hospital work as a neurologist. He immediately embraced the approach and found it particularly well suited for supporting individuals with medical disorders. Over the years, he deepened his expertise and went on to serve as a Lead Trainer with the IFS Institute for five years. However, after more than a decade of clinical application, he began to notice the model’s limitations with certain clients—especially those experiencing deep traumatic dissociation, attachment injuries, or significant nervous system dysregulation. Drawing on guidance from experts such as Deb Dana and Deirdre Fay, he developed Relational Intelligence to address these challenges by integrating co-regulation, attachment repair, somatic engagement, and interpersonal neurobiology into the therapeutic process.
Dr. Le Doze’s work is grounded in the belief that healing trauma requires both internal access to Self and external relational safety—restoring the nervous system’s innate capacity for regulation, connection, and resilience.
This workshop is designed for therapists and helping professionals who are already familiar with IFS, Polyvagal Theory, and Attachment Theory (see note below), and are curious about how these approaches can be integrated into a cohesive, brain- and body-informed clinical framework.
