COVID-19 Update from Mission: Empowerment!

We have been closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The situation and the response from governments and organizations is evolving rapidly.

The safety and well-being of our Mission: Empowerment! community and staff, our local community and our global community remains our top priority.

At this time, we have made the decision to cancel/postpone all of our workshops from now until the end of May, 2020.  Here is what is happening for each of those scheduled workshops:

  • The “Daring Greatly ™” workshop scheduled for April 3rd has been postponed. We are in the process of solidifying a fall date for this workshop.
  • The "CBT for Insomnia" workshop scheduled for April 24th will be offered as an online live streamed event on the same date.
  • The "Working with Survivors of Complex & Developmental Trauma" workshop scheduled for May 4-5, 2020 has been rescheduled to May 3-4, 2021.
  • The “Fierce Self-Compassion” workshop scheduled for May 25th has been rescheduled to November 19, 2020.

Everyone registered for the above workshops were contacted and given the option to transfer their registration to the rescheduled event or to receive a full refund or credit.

At this point in time we have no plans to cancel or postpone our June events as it is too soon to know if we will need to do so, but we will continue to monitor the situation, keep you informed, and make provisions as necessary to address any changes needed to ensure the safety of our workshop participants.  Updates will be posted here at and registered attendees will be provided updates via email.

For previous updates:

As for our staff, we have always operated as a virtual office so rest assured we are all safely at home.

We look forward to welcoming you at future events when it is safe to do so.  In the mean time, take care and stay safe.
