COVID-19 Update from Mission: Empowerment!

We have been closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The situation and the response from governments and organizations is evolving rapidly.

While the risk to Canadians remains low (as per
Public Health Ontario and the Public Health Agency of Canada on March 14/20), in an effort to minimize the spread of this virus, local health authorities are recommending that large gatherings and events of 250 people or more be postponed or cancelled.  As you are likely aware, Ontario schools are now closed through to April 5, 2020, and many employers are asking staff not to travel outside of the office and/or to work remotely when possible over the next few weeks.

In light of this, we at Mission: Empowerment! have decided to postpone all events scheduled before April 6th, 2020.  While our workshops in that time period are of a much smaller size than the 250 people, we feel it is prudent for us to join in the containment efforts over the next three weeks. Workshops or events scheduled to take place in this period will be rescheduled. Registrants will be notified directly with more information. Those who are unable to attend the rescheduled events will be eligible for a full refund.

At this time, we have no plans to cancel or postpone events scheduled beyond April 6th, but we will continue to monitor the situation, keep you informed, and make provisions as necessary to address any changes needed to ensure the safety of our workshop participants.  Updates will be posted here at
http://www.missionempowerment.ca/covid-19-updates.html and registered attendees will be provided updates via email.

Thank you for your understanding,

The Mission: Empowerment! Team
